A SiapSemak Used Car Report can include total loss status (Actual and BER), flood history, windscreen claim history, duplicate registration checks, last reported mileage, and accident/insurance claim history with details like date, type, mileage range, parts changed, and severity rating. It also shows the vehicle's specifications and an estimated market value. Each section is marked either “no record found” or with an actual record. A “no record found” result means no matching record exists in the database, not a guaranteed clean history.

SiapSemak Used Car Reports use data sourced from MRC (Motordata Research Consortium), which is SiapSemak's data source partner. SiapSemak searches this data using the car's plate number or VIN to generate each Used Car Report. Because the report reflects only what has been recorded with MRC's data sources, results are as accurate and complete as the underlying data available at the time of the search.

There's no single way to prove with certainty that a car's mileage was tampered with, but you can cross-check for warning signs. A SiapSemak Used Car Report shows the vehicle's last reported mileage, the mileage range recorded as of the most recent available record which you can compare against the car's current odometer reading. A big, unexplained gap (for example, current mileage lower than what was last reported) is worth asking the seller about, alongside checking service records and general wear and tear.

Both are valid ways to search for a used car report, but they can sometimes surface a different scope of history. A plate number can be reassigned or reused on a different vehicle over time, while a VIN can have been registered under more than one plate throughout its history. Neither method is inherently more accurate — the results simply depend on what has changed in the vehicle's registration history. To be safe, always confirm that the VIN on your report matches the number physically stamped on the car in front of you.

SiapSemak's accident history information is based on recorded insurance claim information sourced through MRC. Simply search by the car's plate or VIN, and if a claim record exists, the report will show details like the date of loss, type of accident, mileage range at the time, parts changed, and a severity rating, ranging from Low to Catastrophic based on the claim amount relative to the vehicle's sum insured.

In a SiapSemak Used Car Report, accident severity reflects how large the claim was compared to the vehicle's sum insured at the time. It's rated across six bands: Low (1–5%), Medium (6–15%), High (16–30%), Severe (31–50%), Critical (51–70%), or Catastrophic (above 70%) of the total approved (or claimed, if not yet approved) accident amount against the sum insured. Note that the same incident can sometimes appear with multiple approvals. A Critical or Catastrophic rating indicates that the accident amount represents a high proportion of the vehicle's sum insured. Buyers should review the accident details carefully and consider a professional inspection before proceeding.

A “no record found” result means SiapSemak did not find a matching accident or insurance claim record in the data checked. It does not mean the car has definitely never been in an accident, since not every incident is captured in the available records. That's why it's important to still inspect the car physically, check for signs of past repair work, and consider a professional inspection before buying, even if the report comes back clean.

SiapSemak Used Car Report includes a flood history check. As with all history checks, a “no record found” result means no matching record was found, not a guarantee the car was never affected by flooding. A physical inspection is still worthwhile.

SiapSemak's Used Car Report covers two separate categories, “Actual” total loss and “BER” (Beyond Economical Repair) each shown in the report as either a recorded event or “no record found.” A vehicle with either type of total loss record on file may have undergone significant repair or reconstruction, so it's worth arranging an independent structural inspection if either shows up on your report.

“Last Reported Mileage” is the mileage range that was recorded the last time the vehicle's data was reported, shown as a range (for example, “60,001 to 70,000 km”) rather than an exact figure. It is not a live or continuously updated reading, and it does not by itself prove or disprove odometer tampering. It's simply a reference point to compare against the car's current odometer so you can decide if further questions are needed.

A SiapSemak Used Car Report includes an estimated current market value and the approximate new car price for that model and variant. This is an estimate based on data available at the time of the search, not a guaranteed selling or purchase price, so it's best used as a reference point alongside checking similar listings and negotiating with the seller.
